Daily 3-Bet: Old-School Victory, Main Event Odds, Neymar #RaisesIt

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is constantly beta-testing in an effort to find the perfectly optimized build of mid-afternoon poker news.

You can always fire suggestions for future 3-Bet pieces in the comments section below.

In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at John Hennigan putting up a big win for old-school poker, some fresh odds for the 2016 WSOP Main Event and Neymar’s #RaiseIt.

1) Old School Strikes Back

Poker existed long before the online boom and old-school pros like John Hennigan are set on making sure you don’t forget it.

The long-time poker vet beat an insanely tough final table last night to take down the $10k 2-7 Triple Draw Championship for $320k.

Hennigan beat Michael Gathy heads-up, denying the Belgian pro his second WSOP bracelet of the summer.

It was Hennigan’s fourth WSOP bracelet. Hennigan’s first bracelet came way back in 2002 and he famously won the $50k Players Championship for $1.5m in 2014.

Don’t count out the new school either, however, as veritable online beast Ankush Mandavia took down the ultra-tough $5k NLHE event for $548k.

Incidentally Phil Hellmuth finished eighth in the $5k tournament.

2) WSOP Main Event Odds Released

It’s that time of year where Sports Betting sites start offering prop bets on the WSOP Main Event.

Bodog released its odds this month and these were among the highlights:

Age of Winner

Over 27.5 -120 | Under 27.5 -120

Phil Ivey1389874
Phil Ivey or Phil Hellmuth?

How Many Americans at the Final Table

Over 4.5 -150 | Under 4.5 +110

Origin of Winner

USA -120
Europe +250
Canada +350
South or Central America +650
Australia +1200
Other +1000

Last Longer (Both Must Play for Action)

Phil Ivey -130 | Phil Hellmuth -110

It all looks pretty standard but maybe you can find some hidden gems. There are a few more on the Bodog website including a collection of various big-name last longers.

Sadly there weren’t any odds given on Main Event participation, which is always a fun one.

You can expect more Main Event prop bets from operators and casinos over the coming weeks.

3) Neymar’s #RaiseIt Reaches New Heights

So that PokerStars #RaiseIt viral ad campaign is starting to yield some pretty impressive results.

Neymar has put together a particularly impressive package of trick shots. We’re waiting on Christiano Ronaldo to strike back but he’s a little busy with the Euro Cup right now.

Check out Neymar’s work below (condolences to that hapless drone in the first video!):
